Privacy Policy

Aasan Rishte ("we", "our", "us") is a Muslim matrimonial platform available on the web at www.aasanrishte.com and via our mobile application. We help eligible Muslims find compatible marriage partners in a halal, family-inclusive environment.

We collect the following when you create and use your profile:

Account credentials: Your email address, used for magic-link (OTP) authentication. We do not store passwords — sign-in is handled through one-time email links or OAuth (Google, Apple).

Profile information: Full name, date of birth, gender, marital status, number and status of children, mother tongue, religion, caste, nationality, country of residence, state, city, occupation, employment type, educational qualification, annual income range, height, weight, complexion, blood group, physical status, and an "about me" statement.

Contact details: Mobile number (with country code) and optionally a landline. These are only shared with users who have mutually accepted each other's marriage proposal, and only if you have not enabled contact privacy.

Profile photograph: One photo uploaded to secure cloud storage. Photos are blurred for non-registered visitors.

Referral information: If you joined via a referral link, we record the referral code to credit the referring member.

Device and usage data: IP addresses, device type, browser information, and interaction logs — collected to detect fraud and ensure security.

We use your data strictly for matrimonial matchmaking and platform operation:

• To create and display your profile to verified members • To enable communication between accepted matches via our messaging system • To process subscription payments through Razorpay • To verify identity and prevent fraudulent or duplicate accounts • To enforce community standards and respond to abuse reports • To send platform notifications (proposal alerts, account updates) • To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We do not use your personal data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

We share your data only where necessary:

Other members: Your profile (name, age, city, occupation, photo) is visible to verified registered members. Your mobile number is only revealed after mutual interest acceptance, subject to your privacy settings. Contact details are never exposed to non-members.

Razorpay: Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). We share your email and order details for payment processing. We do not store your card or bank credentials.

Infrastructure providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting) — both operating under appropriate data processing agreements.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by Indian law, a court order, or to prevent imminent harm.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Your profile photo is stored securely in the cloud. By default:

• Your photo is blurred and not visible to non-registered visitors • Registered, verified members can see your photo in search results • Full unblurred photos are visible to members with whom you have a mutually accepted proposal

You may replace or remove your photo at any time from your profile settings. Old photos are permanently deleted from our storage when replaced.

Aasan Rishte offers Free, Basic, Premium, and VIP plans. Paid subscriptions are processed via Razorpay's hosted payment page. We receive a payment confirmation webhook and activate your plan. We record your plan type, start and end date, and amount paid.

We do not have access to your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials at any point.

Subscription records are retained for financial auditing as required by Indian accounting law, even after account deletion.

We implement the following protections:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption • Authentication via Supabase's secure one-time link system — no passwords stored • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables — users can only access their own data or data explicitly shared with them • Contact details are only accessible via a server-side security function that validates mutual acceptance before revealing phone numbers • Role-based access control for the admin panel • Rate limiting and fraud detection to prevent data scraping

If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to Support@aasanrishte.com immediately.

You may request account deletion through your profile settings or by emailing Support@aasanrishte.com.

On deletion: • Your profile is immediately removed from all search results • Personal profile data is permanently deleted within 30 days • Messages may be retained in encrypted form for up to 90 days for safety purposes • Financial records are retained for 7 years for legal compliance • Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely

Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate data (directly via profile settings) • Request deletion of your account and personal data • Withdraw consent by deleting your account • Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer

Email Support@aasanrishte.com to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.

We use a minimal set of cookies:

• An authentication session cookie (ar-access-token) to keep you logged in securely, expiring after 7 days • Browser local storage managed by Supabase for session state

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural analytics. We do not track you across other websites or applications.

Aasan Rishte is for users aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a minor has registered, we will immediately delete their account. To report a minor, contact Support@aasanrishte.com.

Our mobile app is available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). In compliance with Google Play Data Safety and Apple App Tracking Transparency:

• We do not track you across other apps or websites • Camera and gallery permissions are used only for profile photo upload • Notification permissions are used only for matrimony-relevant alerts • All permissions are optional and revocable via device settings • We collect only the data necessary for the matrimony service

We may update this policy periodically. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or a platform notice at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
